NATUROPATHIC AND HOLISTIC MEDICINE GRAD PROGRAMS
It's interesting that what's now called "alternative" or "non-traditional" medicine is actually part of a very old and world-recognized tradition. Naturopathic and holistic medicine is a field that is gaining popularity in the west, which means an increase in career opportunities, industry regulation and the advanced academic programs that give you the credentials needed to practice. Graduate programs in naturopathic and holistic medicine may be offered at regular universities or at independent specialty institutes. Master's degrees are available in Oriental Medicine or Traditional Chinese Medicine, which includes specializations in acupuncture, acupressure, herbal prescription, meditation, Asian bodywork and mind/body training. You can also pursue a master's degree in integrative health studies, holistic studies, transpersonal studies, natural health, holistic nutrition, and holistic health education. Holistic studies involves the interaction of both mind and body; therefore, you can also find master's degrees in areas like counseling psychology, consciousness studies, art and drama therapy at institutions offering naturopathic and holistic studies. Doctoral degrees may also be available in areas like holistic health and wellness education, naturopathic medicine, natural health and homeopathy. So if you're interested in health care that focuses on total mind/body wellness, let Grad Source help you find the graduate program in naturopathic and holistic medicine that fits your personality, talents and career goals.
